A wide range of courses are available for both First Aid and CPR. All First Aid courses include at least a Level "A" CPR (Adult Resuscitation Skills). Descriptions of some of the most popular courses are below.
Emergency First Aid is a one day course which covers the skills required to give care in a life threatening situation. Students are taught how to recognize an emergency and provide safe and appropriate first aid. Topics covered include:

Standard First Aid "C" is a two day course which covers the same content as the Emergency First Aid with the addition of first aid for other injuries and illnesses. Additional topics covered include 2 rescuer CPR, child and infant resuscitation (choking and CPR), secondary survey, bone and joint injuries, head and spinal injuries and hot and cold injuries.
Standard First Aid "A" is a two day course This course covers everything the Standard "C" course does except for Child and Infant Resuscitation and 2 rescuer CPR.
AED can be added to any first aid course or can be a separate course. It is designed to instruct students on the basics of an AED - how they work and when to use them.
This course is suitable for professional child care workers as well as parents and others working with children. The course is very similar to Standard First Aid Level "C" with an emphasis on dealing with children.
Level "A" CPR covers Adult skills of choking, 1 rescuer CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillation).
Level "B" CPR covers Adult skills of choking, 1 rescuer CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillation). In addition 2 of the following 3 lessons are included: Child Resuscitation, Infant, Resuscitation or 2 Rescuer CPR.
Level "C" includes resuscitation skills for the Adult, Child and Infant and 2 rescuer CPR.
HCP is the Healthcare Provider level. It is designed for those working in Healthcare. In addition to covering the topics in Level "C", it also covers Artificial Respiration for the Adult, Child and Infant. Additional skills and tools are also part of this course.
This is a half day course that meets federal general requirements and provides students with information on hazardous materials used in the workplace.
This is a half day course which meets provincial road requirements. It includes the classification, identification and emergency response planning plus information on bulk transportation of hazardous waste.
This is a one day course intended for those working in areas where Hydrogen Sulphide may be present. Students will learn the properties of this poisonous gas, how to protect themselves from coming into contact with it and how to respond in emergencies.
